Just to be up front there is no proof or FCC filing that I found. On Monday (OCT 8) I was eating lunch downtown at Mitchell's Steak House on 3rd (in between Gay and Broad) with a client. The client advised me that the table behind him was discussing when an "On Air" date should be determined? We began to discuss our business and then someone showed up at their table. I heard the guy say, "So, what have you come up to an airing date for us?" We bagn to listen closely (LOL, being nosey as it seemed to get interesting.) The were discussing first quarter 2008. Then a real young guy showed up and they began to discuss about possible formats. I heard the young guy discussing, Hip Hop Hits, Urban Contemporary as a possible format. Then I heard the older guy say, "I think our slogan should still remain, Columbus's is Blazin with best hip hop only on Blazin 102 (not sure if it was 102 or something in the 100's).
They had books showing Columbus's ratings and maps of signal tower status. When we left we saw FCC paperwork and a location of 180 E. Broad Street as an address which I found to be just the old Borden Building.
Anyone heard about something new coming to Columbus?????
