retro.. ohh wait that's already been done...

the bear.. ohh wait that's already been done too..

how about POLKA?

Lenny Diana might make an entrance to Cumulus ... ;D

My hope is CCM again, but that's not likely. I'd like to hear something a little harder than K-Love.

I'm guessing some type of rock to try to compete with X or Q. But Polka sounds good to me, LOL!

some often forget that .
radio obscures common knowledge

I think it's gonna be the old WTPI format of AC and Jazz. All the old timers will be back, too.

A station that will struggle to make the Top 12.
As all Class A's that aren't downtown do...

I'd love an alternative rock format...

...but realistically, I see New AC or something to compete with WTLC or the void left by WYJZ.

So it's entirely possible that there will be nothing new at all on the air after all this dust settles...just a shuffling of the deck in which the same ol' formats merely change location on the dial...

Kinda like baseball managers, where the same nine guys keep getting hired regardless of performance...

or like college lit class, where I figured out that there are only nine basic plot lines in all literature--everything is merely a variation on one of the nine themes

I'm just talking a shot in the dark here, but maybe WWFT will become a rock station. In December, former FM talk station WFTK in Cincinatti, OH, then known as SuperTalk FM 96.5 became a rock station called 96 Rock. I wonder if that will happen here. However, at this rate, anything could happen. In the meantime, enjoy this recording of the Ducky Bubbles Goes A-Courtin' loop-a-thon, interspliced with liners. You can listen to or download it here:

Based on the song they're looping, I guess you can say that for now, FM 93.9 is nothing more than a sitting duck ;D . The countdown to 9:39 AM on Tuesday continues...

(P.S., that song has to be one of the strangest and most annoying songs I've ever heard.)

What is the song they are using? I can't find references to "Ducky Bubbles Goes A-Courtin'" on Google...

I don't think I can stomach this song for longer than 20 seconds to hear the one-liners...

According to Verizon's V Cast Song ID there are two songs...

Swans Splashdown by Jean-Jacques Perrey
-&-
Lonesome Road by Dean Elliot & His Big Band
