Country 103.7 Gainsville

I've noticed TV commercials for both 103.7 and the Buzz. I didn't know Pamal ever forked over any bucks for advertising.

I have yet to see a commercial for 103.7-- what station(s) are they running on?

I've seen them on the local NBC station. They are advertising the artist of the day contest.

I have identified a second Marion County WRUF-FM "Country 103.7 - The Gator" billboard today which is located on Southwest 17th street in Ocala, near the Southwest 7th Avenue overpass. I have not, however, seen any television commercials promoting WRUF-FM. I watch WCJB-TV 20 fairly regularly for local news, so perhaps one of those television commercials will surface on TV 20 soon.

I saw the TV commercial today on WLUF (1 of UF's 2 non-comm station's)

I do however, question the legality of this commercial as it is exactly that. A commercial promoting a contest (call to action) on a commercial radio station.

Why does Pamal need to advertise? 100.5 is the only game in town (active rock) that is.

Any advertising, whether it is "needed" or not, attracts attention and gets the market to notice what is being advertised. In addition to creating TOMA (Top Of Mind Awarness), it also adds credibility to the product when the advertisement is presented in good taste.
