Country Legends 943 is back?

I love how the spring book just increased 94.3's ratings when it was still "The River" from a 1.1 to a 1.7. And SNOOZE 92.1 went from a 2.7 to a 1.5 !!! I'm sure it's because half of Millers listeners were either on vacation or DIED while listening. I'm sure who ever he talked into changing the format on 94.3 is calling themselves Double DOH! What a homer simpson... We'll see how much longer Miller lasts.. seems that every 12 -15 months they get a new GM. "Columbia's fastest growing stations" just became the fast SHRINKING.

Congrats Miller, another fine job you've done.

And 94.3 had such awful audio processing and so overmodulated that sometimes it took awhile to even recognize what they are playing. 92.1 is no better in this respect. I couldn't take 94.3 very long.

I'd like to try this station on the way to the beach, but I'm guessing all I'll get is The Dam in Florence. "Dam, that's good rock!" I pass right by their tower.

Funny comments by all! I have followed the radio business closely for 25 years or more, (at least in this market) I have never heard such a lark. No format has come back from the dead like this has. Why not bring back Kicks 96 or Sunny 100? Now, "Legends" sounds like the old WCOS am before sports became en vogue.

I still say N/T fm would grab the audience better than the 94.3 Fornat du jour. I thought WMFX was going to get a run for it's money with both WIGL (WSCZ) going Classic Hits/AOR. WSCZ went country in November, 2010 and WWNQ followed suit in July, 2011.

If WWNU were to flip back they'd have nowhere to go. Except talk.... Tim Miller is an idiot! He already stunk up one medium. I hope he stays out of print they have enough problems.

Ok, I believe Tim Miller's 15 seconds of fame is over now.

(Back to low ratings until he is ousted. But to tell you the truth that Double O group will never find success.)

I think Tim Millers 15 YEARS of fame is about over. He's run everything he's ever done into the ground. What a waste.

Miller said the decision by a previous GM to switch 94.3 from country wasn’t a good move.

“They dumped out of it long before they should’ve thought about doing it,” he added. “You can’t put a station like that on and set it and forget it.”

This time around, Double O has 94.3 staffed with DJs 24 hours a day, something becoming increasingly rare in radio. But the local voices are part of Miller’s overall philosophy.

“For it to compete, it has to be local,” said Miller, who is also the morning DJ on 92.1. “Radio will need to be all local if it’s going to survive.”

THATS funny... from what I heard, Miller was one of the driving forces behind the orignal flip on COUNTRY LEGENDS.... and if "radio needs to be all local", why is HE the ONLY DJ on 92? EGO MUCH??

After reading the article, I was left wondering why Tim Miller is the only announcer at Carolina 92.1 if he likes having live announcers, cannot figure that one out.
