From Inside Radio:
Cox Radio's Bob Neil says they never boycotted the Dixie Chicks.
Bob tells Inside Radio "the urban legend that Cox banned them has been proven false over and over again. Our country stations did local - and I stress local - research, and country listeners had a very negative reaction to their music [following the 2003 quote about Bush], and still do today." Neil says "Cox local programmers make these decisions, not corporate people." The Chicks are doing lots of media in advance of their "Shut Up And Sing" movie. They mentioned Cox and Cumulus by name in last night's Larry King interview on CNN.
HaHaHaHaHa
....local programmers have control over issues like this :
....HaHaHaHaHaHa ;D....man has the bs ever been any thicker!!!
By the way, I'm not a Dixie Chicks fan...couldn't care less one way or another about them, their music or their politics but not particularly a fan of corporate radio bs either.
