But, again- "stupid" to who? They've been bashed and trashed and called every name in the book for expressing an opinion. We can do that here. Many are suggesting they "shouldn't". Why not? If they had done the same thing but their opinion was about anti-war protesters, 99.9% of the critics would have loved it, yet in either case, all they are doing is expressing an opinion.

I agree that disagreeing with the president, the Dixie Chicks or anyone else is a constitutionally protected right. As far as I know no one has said it isn't. But I don't see the logic in feeling obligated to applaud someone for having the courage to say someting really stupid.
