Not sure what "new format" would be viable for the Ft Walton Beach or much
less the Pensacola market, but playing Christmas music beginning in early
Nov thru the end of the year would mean one of two things; either they "the corporate hacks who are nothing more than frustrated PDs who got fired in the
70's/80's/90's at other stations want to increase their "*** or TSL" or they are really stunting because there is a real change coming. I think these two
markets are overdue for a good classic pop format, not necessarily "oldies" but
just the recognizable hits, not the burnouts, but a good balance. I'd like to see WAAZ 104.7 go to "Z-104" instead of CHR (never) BUT real GOOD country

including some Elvis, and Roy, Jerry Lee Lewis along with George Jones, Johnny Cash, and the country hit crossovers of the 50's/60's/70's, Roger Miller,
Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Milsap, Alabama, etc. The only
