Think cheap.
Why do we sound like crap?
Whats that static?
Why is the FCC here?
What do you mean my station is not at full power and off frequency?
Kent said:While it seems like their cuts have been less severe than they were three years ago, Cumulus is definitely cutting a large amount of people. Between October 15, 2008 and January 31, 2009, Cumulus cut nearly all of their nighttime and midday people. Most weekenders were also eliminated, though they had to keep a handful, who were promptly cut down to minimum wage if they were making above that (or at least that happened at the Cumulus clusters where I have friends).
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. They have the right guy in charge of programming with Mike McVay. Make no mistake that he knows both what he's doing and what he's up against; his consulting partner, Charlie Cook, was shafted by Cumulus a few years ago in budget moves. I hope he can turn that company around. It has some good people who really need the support of someone like McVay. Working conditions have been too miserable there for too long!

If he's a hack, he's a successful one. I've cyber-surfed McVay. He has quite a portfolio.
