7:30pm on repeat KSMOTV.
Then why do they still air blue bloods and in the heat of the night? They changed WGNA because the previous format of the channel (old sitcoms) made no sense in a world where anyone can see M*A*S*H reruns on demand.
The CW at least has a sensible strategy right now. But, if the network is unprofitable, as alleged in a couple of articles this week, who knows what Nexstar could be planning.
I read once their syndication contract runs out it will be all News. Idk how long the contracts were for WGN America but we're down to only 3, in the heat of the night, blue bloods and last man standing. Then why do they still air blue bloods and in the heat of the night?
HBCU football TV coverage is being offered in cities in which CBS owns two TV stations. My guess is that HBCU football will be broadcast on the secondary CBS O&O stations. Some such stations are affiliated with The CW; however, others, such as WLNY-TV (Ch. 55) in the New York metropolitan area, are not.HBCU football might be available
Looks like Seattle is on this list given that CBS owns CW affiliate KSTW for that market. Note the Seattle CBS affiliate is managed by Cox Media. Atlanta and Tampa are on this list too from that article and they managed a CW affiliate in the market. Note Gray manages the CBS Affiliate in Atlanta and Tegna manages the Tampa CBS affiliate.HBCU football TV coverage is being offered in cities in which CBS owns two TV stations. WPIX, The CW's New York affiliate, has been airing some games of the local MLB teams for years. This year, WPIX no longer airs New York Yankees games due to the team's new deal with Amazon Prime Video; however, it is airing 28 regular-season games of the New York Mets.As I said I wonder if WXSP will get The CW as Nexstar owns WXSP in West Michigan Sinclair owns CW7 which is WWMT .2 once the contract is up for Sinclair. WXSP for the past couple of years has aired GR Griffins more than in years past only time they aired Griffins hockey is if they made it to the AHL Championship Game.
MyNetwork TV isn't a network like The CW is. It's really more of a syndivation service than anything (Hence the reason why Fox never bothered to take it away from KRON)I’m no longer convinced the CW will be moving to WMYT. In theory you think it would make sense but WCCB does have news and they’ve already lost ABC and Fox in the past. Plus Fox owns an independent (KICU) San Francisco and the MyNet remained on KRON instead of moving to KICU when it traded for that duopoly several years ago.
Since then, sources tell Deadline that CW brass have reached out to the creative community, including taking agency meetings, to lay out their buying strategy going forward and tell everyone that the network is open for business.
On the original scripted programming side, in addition to the CW’s signature genre shows and teen soaps, which the network intends to keep doing — just not as many — it plans to broaden its slate by adding procedurals and other older-skewing dramas as well as half-hour comedies including multi-camera sitcoms.
Following Nexstar’s acquisition, previous 50-50 owners Paramount Global and Warner Bros Discovery each retained 12.5%. Their broadcast-focused studios, CBS Studios and Warner Bros TV, respectively, have been the CW’s exclusive scripted series suppliers to date.
Well since Nexstar doesn't have a presence in Seattle as it does in Portland (It owns CBS affiliate KOIN 6), I don't see them passing up the opportunity of buying KSTW 11 BUT having KIRO 7 producing news for the station as it once did under CBS ownershipLooks like Seattle is on this list given that CBS owns CW affiliate KSTW for that market. Yes primary CBS affiliates cannot air HBCU games due to the CBS Sports division and their college football games.
Or let KDVR joining MNTV and KTVD joining CW improving its 9pm news for KUSAMyNetwork TV isn't a network like The CW is. It's really more of a syndivation service than anything (Hence the reason why Fox never bothered to take it away from KRON)
Now If Nexstar had to spin off KDVR in order to comply with FCC ownership cap limits when it nerged with Tribune, they would've had to spin off KWGN as well & Fox would've been the most logical buyer for both as they originally wanted KWGN to be the affiliate when the then "Network" launched by ended up affiliating with (And later buying) KDVR when Tribune (Who didn't own KDVR at the time & Fox offered to buy KDVR to help expedite the merger process) passed on the affiliation (More like SCOFFED & LAUGHED at it)
Had Fox gotten its hands on KWGN & KDVR, Fox would've likely moved the network to KWGN (Either right away or after KWGN's affiliation agreement with The CW expired) while KDVR would become the temporary CW affiliate (With Fox opting not to renew) & then revert back to being an Indepedent (This time as a Fox O&O ALA KDFI in Dallas is)
Just my opinion though...
Sinclair manages a H&I station that used to be MNTV but Nexstar can make a duopoly even if they only get MNTV and its previous station, same as York PA consider Nexstar buying WLYH and Sinclair can buy channel 15 and move CW back to channel 15But wait Nexstar can get Mission Broadcasting to go around the ownership limits by having them buy the licences of WUPA and KSTW. This is like when Deerfield, Cunningham and Howard Stirk Holdings step in and buy the TV licenses in some parts of the USA and Sinclair will step in and do newscasts on these three venues.

That could've happened too (But with MNTV being relegated to Secondary status with "Primetime" running from 10:00 PM to Midnight rather than the recommended 7:00 PM tp 9:00 PM it currently does)Or let KDVR joining MNTV and KTVD joining CW improving its 9pm news for KUSA
Tegna and previous owner Gannett are somehow late to own Fox affiliatesThat could've happened too (But with MNTV being relegated to Secondary status with "Primetime" running from 10:00 PM to Midnight rather than the recommended 7:00 PM tp 9:00 PM it currently does)
As was Scripps but they're in the game now thoughTegna and previous owner Gannett are somehow late to own Fox affiliates
