d&c does have one good quality..

Dale will be critical when he has to be... The Sox have won two world series in four years, so it's not like he has a whole lot to be critical about. Why does every show have to be negative and pick about every single inning of every game? Dale is one of the few guys on WEEI that I like. I put on D/C the day after the Lester no-hitter, and I had to hear Meter say how it didn't mean anything coming against the Royals. The one time I thought even Meter couldnt see a dark cloud in the sky he still tries to rain on someones parade. All that D/C are, is ex jock wannabees that never made it so they pick on the guys who have more tallent than them.

One good quality is they have vacation time and they take it...thus they are off the air for a few weeks a year...leaving us with somewhat good fill-in hosts and 5 hours of hate free radio.
 
for the person who started this thread, you have your chance to hear your hero from 9-10 today on Steve Sweeney's show. By my count, that makes three different shows he's appeared on on WWZN.

OOPS... make it four. He's on with Lew and Mike now

A "few" weeks? If anyone really pays attention to the amount of time these clowns get off, it's a joke. Ordway takes the cake when it comes to this, but D&C are not far behind, I'd guess when it's all said and done they take about 10 weeks off a year. The big off times are around the holidays then come summer, don't forget about that torture trip to spring training they "have" to take when we are all freezing are arse off.

i too hate those morons and kool-aid drinkers who say we cant question francona because he has won two world series championships.

as a fan who cant even afford to go to game because of their salaries, cant at least question them? be critical? or is it not allowed? am i too dumb to understand a silly game?

maybe i should just put on an ill-fitting jersey, kick back with some cheesie puffs and call in the big show this afternoon and talk about how great the red sox are...WE ARE GOING TO WIN 110 GAMES!!!

I read on SOSH that all they did was call fireman crooks for the whole show. What makes that a good sports show?
 
I can't stand Callahan....all he does is spew his ignorant commentary that rocks his tiny, insignificant world....he is a pretty vile individual.
His views on politics are so skewed...there is no debate... now I just change the station once I get last nights scores.
 
You mean Lew and Mike weren't talking about Dennis and Callahan? That would be a switch. I RARELY agree with Callahan, but both he and Dennis were very clear in saying that they are NOT talking about all firemen, only those that are scamming the system, and the evidence produced in the Herald makes it hard to believe that it is not a significant number. They were absolutely correct in saying that the dishonest group are bringing shame on a noble profession and that the honest firemen should be maddest at them. They called out the union for protecting the thieves and for causing a chilling effect on the membership by discouraging them from policing themselves. Nothing wrong there.

Also, who says it has to be a "Sports Show"? That's not what they are attempting to do. They do a mega-successful morning show that features sports. If you don't like the other topics, try Lew and Mike, Mike and Mike, Mike and Ike, Mike's Hard Lemonade or anything else that works for you. It's a free country.

No, they didn't. I thought that would have been an ideal time to let their contract expire. 'EEI has no competition, with a decent signal. Boston is a sports crazed market. With a few exceptions (Larry Johnson, Craig Mustard, Smerlas, Halloren) almost anyone they put in that slot would probably be #1.

works fine for me... it doesn't have to be a sports show on WEEI. I have an idea... why not dump Finneran and get a sports show on WRKO. That way, D&C can do their "sports content" mixed with non-sports content show. I'm not really serious about that but it's good to have options. Mike and Mike do a good job, as well.
