D.C., You're Still Getting A Dance Station

Its still happening. The company is getting ready to turn it on soon.

The question is when is Pulse coming and who will be getting the aircheck for its first hour

I listened today w/ my wife (she's fluent in spanish) an the dj was telling listeners to "Pray they find a new frequency". That was about all we heard. So obviously they know they are being shown the door an are looking for a new home for the spanish christian format. Thus Pulse 87 is likely coming soon. But its still not here yet.

I will try my hardest to record that 1st hour on the air, just don't know when thats going to be.

Mega Media is probably showing the owners of WDCN more benjamins than the Spanish Christian station and has proof of success with WNYZ. The potential audience for dance is larger than the audience for Spanish Christian.
I'm guessing that it will start out voicetracked from the New York Pulse 87. They'll probably have the New York DJs do a show on the DC Pulse 87 in addition to their NYC show, either by working two shifts, doing twice as many mic breaks during their show, or just simulcasting the show (but that will eliminate local-specific talks such as crappy New York weather when it's 80 and sunny in DC, or that Paul Oakenfold is coming to Webster Hall). And they'll send one of the Pulse 87 vans down I-95 once or twice a week to do club broadcasts.
