I wonder if bringing Ernie Brown to the WBAP morning show has enhanced their ratings. In the past 6 months their all age ratings are up about 50%. Undoubtedly their average age is high, but still an impressive increase in a short time period.
 
What’s ironic is how the top station in Dallas is only a 4.9 share which means that Mix 102.9 is doing pretty good in the ratings considering that. KDGE not as much but still not bad.
 
Some posters have claimed "rock is too polarizing," yet a highly music intensive station that plays mostly rock music (albeit very little in the way of heavy stuff) is pulling terrific numbers in the money demo. Imagine that!

KEGL's weak numbers with rock music were due to poor programming execution as opposed to any innate aversion toward rock music, it would appear.

And the whole you know, having talk shows during the day. The best replacement for Russ Martin wasn’t more talk. It was more music all along

It never really stopped, it's just a bit more of the 90's and a bit less of currents right now. Seems to be cycling back and forth over the last couple of months.
