Re: Disappointed
I agree with the swap to Dan Patrick, finally. I think having O'reilly was a station image thing. They just now realized that it made no sense, I don't get it. I guess that's what happens when you don't have a P.D.
As for the teams that the stations carry...
680 has the Trashers and all the Westwood One affiliaton, so they have the majority of the nfl and ncaa football and hoops(in march). As far as I know I think that they also carry alot of NBA. Also 680 is the official station of Auburn football. Sister station WFOM is the official station of Notre Dame in Atlanta. WALR also gets all the play by play that 680 can't fit onto their station. The other sister WALR, now ESPN Deportes has all of the major latino centered sports such as World Cup soccer, and also the World Baseball classic.
790 has the Hawks, Georgia Force, Georgia Tech, and has affiliation with the Falcons too.
As much as I agree with the other big sports being on a sports station, there's only so much they can afford. GST has the braves because Clear Channel can pay for it. Same with the Falcons with Dave FM, owned by CBS.
