In what I believe will be one of the first on-air reports former CBS News anchorman Dan Rather's has done for the network since stepping down from the "Evening News" in March, he'll appear on tonight's (September 2nd) "60 Minutes II" (8-9 P.M. EDT) to talk to a Louisiana state health official about the public-health crisis following Hurricane Katrina.
I think he may have done one or two segments for "60 Minutes" or "60 Minutes II" earlier this Summer.
I suspect tonight's edition will be devoted entirely to Hurricane Katrina's aftermath, which will probably draw more viewers than a "typical" edition of the program.
