Danny Ozark of WYSP's Kidd Chris Show goes into WCAU NBC 10 reporter's home

To look at her underwear drawer and after he was invited by Chan's housekeeper and he talked about what happened at Chan's house on Kidd Chris show last Wednesday. Chan Yesterday decided to turn the tables on him, she went into the house where the guy lived. His father lives there She went into Ozark's room and look at the video on the first NBC 10 link to see what happened. What the hell was Danny thinking? Links to the story. I remember Danny Ozark when he managed The Phillies in the '70s. I am glad he found a second career at WYSP! ::)

It wasn't a bit for the show, it was an event in the messed up life of Ozark that he told about ON the show. And while some may not have found it funny, it turned out to get nice press for the show and, most of all, Danny Ozark (Panty Ozark?).
 
It’s this kind of juvenile, asinine prank that’s helping to destroy radio. This was one of the lamest things I’ve heard in quite some time, and that’s saying something, considering there is some rancid nonsense on WYSP these days. Free FM? I think they overcharged for it.
 
It wasn't a prank made for the Kidd Chris Show. It was something that happened, and Ozark went and told the story on the radio. So, Cahn got back at him...sort of.

A pretty juvenile stunt for a 40 year old man to pull, IMHO.

Loved when Lu Ann went to HIS house and toured his bedroom, which looked like a pigsty. A 40 yo man living with his Daddy, and having a slopped up bedroom like a spoiled 13 year old. And the whole Tri State area could see! This guy ain't funny, he's pathetic.
 
I don't know if this is the right thread, but can any of you guys let me know how long Kidd Chris is contracted to work at WYSP?
 
While what Ozark did was very juvenile and stupid, I watched some of the video on Ch. 10's website and the reaction of Ms. Cahn and Tracy Davidson might be more ridiculous.

Tracy said that if this happened to her that she would be "curled up in a ball and wouldn't leave the house". Because someone looked at your underwear??? Go get something to worry about Tracy.

I'm in no way defending Ozark, but Lu Ann says the family friend left in charge of the house is "a good girl" who had "a lapse in judgement"?? No Lu Ann, it's her fault 100%. She let people into the house.

Channel 10 should absolutely be embarrassed that they allowed her to do what she did and the stations license to broadcast should be revoked by the FCC.
 
This wuz news, ladies and gentlemen...on two newscasts. This is the dumbing down of America as we know it it on both radio and television.

This "news" wouldn't have made it to "America's Funniest Videos" let alone being shown on a major market network O&O.

Revoke the license? And take away all the fun for those who found it important enough to post not once, but a half dozen times in all its televised, broadcast and print reincarnations?

This wasn't a ruse either, was it??? And sweeps month is over, I think ... Wasn't that last month?

Must be a slow news day in the City of Brotherly Love ...

WYSP and NBC 10 -- two true cornerstones of quality, responsible, broadcasting in Philadelphia.

Add-up the cume between these two stations and you'll match that of a directional daytime-only AM Spanish religious station at sunrise.
 
Danny who's real name is Peter Goldman, is crazy to even going upstairs to a stranger's bedroom to see what underwear Lu Ann Cahn has but I also think after she found about this, Cahn wanted to get this story on the air to give NBC 10 WCAU-TV and WYSP 94.1 FM a brief ratings surge and attention to the 2 stations because both stations are doing very bad I think in the ratings. What do you guys think and do you think that Kidd Chris had something to do with this incident?

Can you provide proof that NBC10 is suffering in the ratings, and if so, why would they collaborate with a rival in CBS Radio to boost those ratings? Do you really think a little tiff like this would actually do anything to help increase viewership or listenership on either station? And finally, do you really think Kidd Chris has the presence of mind to actually pull off a stunt like this successfully if the above statements are true?

They did it as a joke for yuks with their listeners. Lu Ann Cahn probably saw it as her "breakout moment" for her to become a household name and dragged the story out as far as it would go. It's not some great conspiracy.

I can't really picture channel 6 doing something like this.

As for NBC 10's May sweeps: at noon, they're in 6th place with that God-awful iVillage show. Judge Judy is beating them at 4PM. Their 5, 6, and 11PM newscasts are all in 3rd place behind WPVI and KYW. (source: http://www.bradyresidence.com/051507.html )

As for WYSP, they had a 41% drop in revenue ($10,000,000) since Stern left and Free-FM began. (source: http://www.philly.com/inquirer/magazine/20070503_Ben-FM_dialed_up_64__increase_in_revenue.html)

Wow - I knew WPVI had the leg up on them in the evening news block, but I didn't know KYW was ahead of them as well. Wasn't it not too long ago that NBC actually moved ahead of WPVI for one short sweeps period?

As far as WYSP goes - again, it was probably a joke, and Lu Ann Cahn saw it as an opportunity to get her own name out there. I can't imagine a scenario in which WYSP and NBC saw this panty-raid as a way to boost their ratings for more than a day or two - which doesn't do much for them long term and actually probably hurts NBC's news cred.
