The 1430 Main Street Building began life as a horse stable. It is where Dr. Clinton Churchill first put WKBW’s transmitter when the station sign on in 1925. It officially opened as WKBW’s “Radio Center” on October 27, 1950 and was home to some of the greatest broadcasters in American radio history. The WKBW Radio studios moved from 1430 Main to 695 Delaware Avenue in October 1978.
