I love how Pratt keeps trying to spin the "no restrictions" reason for him not being on the air there anymore.

Uh, no on the cume... here is why.

The share is right, because share can be added.

But cume can not be added unless it is unduplicated. In fact, there are 1,038,600 Hispanics 6+ in the Phoenix metro. So 1.4 million cume for regional is only possible if you are a sales slug putting together a proposal ;D

Regional cumes about 680,000 of them. The figure is not 1.387 million because many cumers of one cume both or one of the others. They can't be counted twice.

Similarly, KOMR and KVVA and the pop/rhythmic stations can't have their cumes added as there is significant duplication.

I'll beat David Eduardo to the punch on this one. There are more than 4 million people in the metro. Conservative estimate is one-third Hispanic. So that's more than a million. Any market of a million people who all spoke English would have at least 11 (probably more like 30) signals. Why shouldn't there be 11 Spanish-language stations (with different types of music, news, talk and sports) here?

The 6+ is 3,570,000 total population for the market, of which total 1,038,000 are Hispanic.

Of the Hispanic population, 50.1% is Spanish dominant. Add in bilinguals who prefer Spanish language music styles, and there are about 750,000 who actively use Spanish language radio.
