The new KFRC sounds great on the music side, they seem to have a large play list. I am in my car at least 5 hours a day and I am not hearing alot of songs repeated. I know the new air staff is not in place yet but the dj's seem scared let loose let alone talk. They now need things like weather checks and side kicks to liven it up. Come on KFRC your almost doing it right see it through and you'll be fine.

Right - and it turned out to be a double whammy since KMEL immediately became somewhat of a competitor of the Big 610 with the "Camel" AOR format, then became a direct competitor a few years later with their "All Hit" format. I remember the music (strong on the funk side of things) was very similar to KFRC's early and mid 80s playlist, and Marvelous Mark McKay was involved with KMEL for awhile.
Nothing like supplying the shovels and dirt for your own grave...

HEY LAFFER, if your going to write on this board, get your spelling correct, lets see his name is spelled JOHN MACK FLANAGAN,, get it right,, and personally, I dont care what his employment is ,, this guy is Mr Radio!!!! If you were so good you would have been on the radio,, John makes ratings, and makes radio well worth listening to!!! As for Cousin Brucie,, a New York legend,,I believe he was one of the 1st to introduce The Beatles in 1964,, it surely wasnt you Laffer!! Funny how he has so many loyal followers on Sirius,,Just like John Mack Flanagan has many many fans on this board!!! It sounds like Gretchen is the show Proudcer/co-host, on the KFRC website there had been a job posting for a proudcer/co-host, Does anyone know much more about her?? Hopefully within time they can get to know each other a little better and build some morning chemistry.

Hopefully they can find a couple people to join the morning show to add to the content with Sholin be the master of the conversations, the old weather jingles would be good, more phone calls from listeners.
