David Chaney retires

He's been doing weather for 42 years. It was nice that Fox 5 allowed him to have his wife and family in the studio for the 5:30 weather forecast. His last weather cast will be during the 6pm newscast.

Was a nice send off. David was one of the best in the market. Any ideas on who might be the new chief? Or if David will eventually end up over at ANF?? hahaha ;)

Joanne Feldman has been promoted to Chief Meteorologist at Fox 5, meaning two Atlanta stations with female chief mets (Jennifer Valdez on WANF is the other).

By the way, the last name is spelled Chandley.

I saw a post on Fox 5 that she was "more valuable" to the chemistry of the Fox 5 morning show which I understand brings in some serious revenue. I sure they did some kind of audience research or testing.
