Wednesday night at around 9PM ET, there was a collision of an American Eagle plane with a Blackhawk helicopter on approach to Reagan National Airport. Because of the location of the crash, coverage began very quickly. Area TV stations had video of the crash itself. Local and network TV were on site within the hour. Local radio (WTOP) was on location and reporting from the scene within the hour.
