Is NEPA radio that bad, that boring? There hasn't been a new post here in months. Surely, there has to be something interesting going on. Is MAX making a dent? Rock 107 appears to be climbing back from its turnover. Is WILK still begging for listener involvement? KRZ, Froggy and Magic still chugging along.

Some of these boards have been so long on IUV, Nigel, that I had to think for a few moments what my password was.

The malaise is not peculiar just to here in NEPA. Imo tThe ER hubbub began, everywhere, to fill up when Arbitron/Nielsen Audio pulled in their horns and stopped allowing public release of all the 12+ stations. Whatever percentage of conversation that embargo caused to cease depends on your own varying personal mileage. My guess is 1/3rd. And as I said, that ratings part of the discussions, now a boardroom gesture forbidden to the majority of us, has affected other forums.

Plus you're right, lol -- radio * is * that boring. But it isn't just NEPA radio. The largest radio companies in the largest markets are all biting their collective fingernails down to the wrist.

I realize that this is a "radio" forum. However I was wondering (on the TV side ) if channel 16 is still the ratings leader in NE Pa?.Does channel 28 still make any impact ?I had worked at WBRE TV in the late 1960s and they were dominant.I have been out of the area since 1975 and down here in the Susquehanna valley channel 8 WGAL is the News leader. Also does anyone know the RF channels of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton TV market ?Of course all this may change once "repacking" of the TV band is finalized. Many thanks.
PS- Have any good pierogies lately ????? I really miss all that good food !

All Access Music Group is reporting that GM Steve Borneman of Times Shamrock/Scranton is leaving Shamrock in mid July to join Pamal Broadcasting of Latham, New York !
