Does BEE hibernate?

I have always noticed something very strange in this market.

Every station, but 2, are below a 6 share. As you can see. Many are in the 2’s and 1’s.

There are 50,000 Watt stations . The top station, WDKX, which is locally owned by a terrific guy named Andre, is the top station. It has about 1,000 Watts, however, its elevation is high providing more than adequate coverage for Rochester.

I happen to be a very big fan of country music. I prefer listening to the more traditional country, but I get where the new country fits into the picture.

I am a fan of both WBEE and WYRK. The fan loyalty is enormous, so I do believe that these are lean times, especially in the case of WBEE. In December, and the few prior months, there is a lot of radio listening going elsewhere. Whether it’s on the dial, or something digital.

Both these stations have nothing to worry about.

Imagine if the Nielsen list included non-broadcast options such as Sirius and other streaming options. Then you'd see the real numbers.

When you subscribed, you saw all of the responses, not just the broadcast stations. You know what I'm talking about.

I was looking at Buffalo earlier and noticed the Cumulus stations were no longer listed. Not Rochester. My bad.
If memory serves, Cumulus is embroiled in a lawsuit with Nielsen. That's likely the reason why you don't see the ratings for Buffalo.
