I remember one time when Lee Kinard wore a brown suit.
Good times. Dang good times.
My parents didn't get color TV until 1986, so I've never seen him in a brown suit. Although I may have seen Lee when I was in college on a color TV.

Then again, most people in the student center wanted to watch WGHP instead.

Guess what the lead story was on the 6 pm (12/28) newscast on WFMY TV? You are going to think I'm kidding but I'm not. An 88 year old man's walker was stolen while he was assisting or visiting his wife at a local nursing home. I kid you not. Someone stole a walker from an elderly man and news 2 had this as their lead story at 6pm. If you know someone at news 2 ask them and they will confirm it. Or ask someone who was watching (and I realize its goning to be hard to find anybody who admits they watch news 2). It must have been a SLOW NEWS day. I even tuned in to the CBS Evening News at 6:30 to see if possibly WFMY fed the "stolen walker" story to the network.

Well, what happened to the walker? Did they say on TV ? Is Rush radio on this story? Are they flipping to oldies to attract walker users?

Did news 2 have live "team coverage"? And was it a news 2 exclusive? I'm sure the folks at Fox 8 & channel 12 have been reprimanded by now for letting news 2 get out in front on a story as important as this. And what happened to the walker? The GPD should be scouring the local pawn shops. Maybe the victim can replace his missing walker with a Hoveround or Scooter, they seem to very popular in certain areas of the Gate City.

;D ;D ;DFunny thing about the whole deal is the walker was never stolen! It was at his wifes's nursing home!!! hahahahahahahahaah

Yes, I was watching this story!!! Yes, the posters were correct!!! The walker was NOT stolen!!!!!!! The old man left it in the hallway and the janitor took it to lost and found so somebody wouldn`t trip on it!!!! WFMY TV 2 is CRAZY to use this as a lead story!!! How long can these horrible newscasts continue??? Will Gannett clean house soon???

What will be WFMY-TV News 2`s Top Story Tonight?: "Dentures stolen from old man at Nursing Home"- 106-Year old Earl Gumlamp reports that someone came into his room at the Nursing Home and stole his dentures out of a glass at his bedside-LOL!!!! News 2 is launching a Full investigation with Live Remotes at the Nursing Home-Film at 11-LOL!!!

People wonder why reruns of "The Andy Griffith Show" on WFMY-TV 2 get higher ratings than the actual newscasts....LOL!!!!
