She was about the only latina reporter in this market I liked :) Im glad shes heading to Fox 7, great group of folks

Nah, Jane did, and it was Maternity dresses. Gloria raised a nuclear hissy over it. Today though, Gloria looks far better than Jane. Age is taking its toll.

Ch.8's policy of bringing in John, and Gloria to sunday nights during "sweeps" is in effect telling the weekend anchors "we don't have confidence in you". When severe weather breaks out on the weekend,there's Pete Delkus instead of someone who knows what he is talking about, Steve Macauley. The News Director,and producer truly need to get their common sense in gear.

I disagree that it's denigrating the weekend anchors. I believe that bringing in the "A" team is a desperate ploy for ratings. I would let the weekend team anchor Fri/Sat during sweeps and have the main team on Sun-Thurs.

Nah, Gloria did, the very married Mrs. Brown has always caught my attention faster than Ms. McGarry. Did you see Gloria over in Fort Worth in her Cowgirl hat, she was looking pretty good in it. ;D
 
geez, I expected to come along here and find someone talking about how well Brad Hawkins did while he was paired with Gloria last night at 10PM. Since no one else has I will offer the opinion that the newscast went very well with no one stumbling over their words.

There are a few others on Fox4 that do the same, Rebecca Aguilar is really bad about it and Saul Garza is a close second.

Actually, Carlos Mencia did a bit about this on Mind Of Mencia, how all hispanic reporters intentionally over pronounce their name to sound catilean. Heres my take: Be proud of your heritage, just dont play to a stereotype, that all :)

He was solo this past weekend and all seemed to go well.

He probably only gets nervous when he when he knows you are watching. ;)
 
I watched. He stumbled a few times. Maybe if I wear a disguise he won't stammer next time I am watching.
