Listening to MY over the iheart radio stream they sound like they have their music pitched up also... Never knew they had done that... So far this morning they sound pretty good, but I will keep listening to see how they sound... CC

This isn't always extremely accurate, but http://www.yes.com/#WMYI is a good site with a music log (everything on there is an hour behind, though, lol).
They've also added "Paradise" by Coldplay.awp69 said:carolinaradio said:The Mediabase list includes songs that the Premium Choice playlist that they run late nights plays, which is the Fun, Gotye, Outasight, etc. type stuff that they don't play during the day.

Ok. Well, still glad to see the new daytime adds, but it would have been nice to see some slightly more "cutting edge" groups like Fun. and Gotye get some daytime airplay. Even though the singles by both groups have been pretty big CHR hits, guess MY may still consider them too risky for whatever reason.
They still do need to figure out the 80s/90s/2000s stuff, in addition to the new adds. Still don't like the fact that they played Michael Jackson this morning but yet played Panic! At The Disco. We'll see. At least today's new adds gives some hope that they'll get their act together.

'SPA's is too cranked. It's very close or identical to 'FBC's, IMO. It sounds like a ton of noise. They've sounded that way since I've been around here. Their processing should sound more like MY's did before they changed it in the summer.CrazeeCarroll1 said:I remember when SPA changed up the processing... They had it set just like B93.7 had theirs set... Way to harsh and way to over processed... Dunno if they did not think they could be heard, but it was bad bad bad... Would have been great processing for the stuff The Planet plays, but not AC... As for Fun's We are Young atleast you guys are hearing it... Unless I jam it through Spotify None of the cumulus stations plays it here or the Maveric Media stations for that matter...

Wanted to qualify that statement and note that even some upbeat tracks from the 80s still don't belong. I have relatives now in their 60s and 70s who were big Michael Jackson fans back in the Thriller days. Don't think that's the audience they should be shooting for.

carolinaradio said:I hear quite a few songs on there that aren't "office friendly" - I wonder if they've lost many at-work listeners....it's far from the traditional background music it once was. Magic has that title now.
carolinaradio said:It's nice to hear some different songs played to death on there. I like the new one from Train.

This is a sound I could live with. I haven't heard any 80s, no slow 90s and have liked the music mix....not bad at all and much "fresher" sounding than last week.

That format, as bad as it is, is only aired to satisfy those that sit down to pee!
