....Topics not talked about
4: KTRB
Wrong! A recent post talks about the Oakland A's moving to 50,000-gallon 860, KTRB,
along with other programming changes there. Not bad for a station with near-zero ratings, too:

What else CAN you say about Savage, that hasn't been said about scurvy?

Weekend jocks and jockettes? You mean they
still exist??!!??

8: what's the worst ad on the air right now
I'm not sure, but most "snake-oil-salesmen" spots would be applicable...
Geico spots are getting plentiful on KCBS 740/106.9 drive time...a promo or commercial every three minutes...
I'm exaggerating, but only
slightly...

Yes - there are a lot of stations that rarely get talked about here - Alice, Live 105, KMEL, Kiss-FM, KBLX, etc. The reason is- other than some occasional format tweaking, they've remained primarily the same for years, and there's not much to talk about...except when they fire people, and talking about that gets depressing
I seem to see many Wild (KYLD) threads...but those threads do not feature the spunk of
frustration that the KFRC threads do, such as the one with over 4,400 responses. Whew!...

I hate to play the straight man here, but I'd like to point out that the last KFRC thread covered multiple tangents which really had little to do with the original thread. One needs to look beyond the subject thread and read the content. I do think the SF board users are guilty of laziness in not starting a new thread at times, but starting new topics are sometimes more difficult than flowing with the energy of the one everyone has dogpiled.
I thought we were ALL crazy! You mean there ARE straight men participating on this board?...

And while some of the participants on this board may use Pepsodent, I still have all my teeth, have a Facebook page and an iPod too. But I still think AM is cool, so that probably cancels everything out.
I'm with you, sloux (pron. slough?), as I repeat my oft-used mantra:
"I never left AM radio, AM Radio left me"...
I do NOT use Pepsodent, but I have yet to try those whitening-strips, though...

I'm only a week old in this Radio-Info Board, and am truly enjoying all the comments, but,
for those who don’t like the constant talk about any one station, think of it this way,
this is our "12 step program" and we need to talk with our group to become better older
citizens, and embrace the future we so reluctantly want to do! (just kidding)
Mike, I could not have said it any better...
At least we've finally gotten the "KYA 1260" thought-process out of our system...

Seriously, when something is or was good, why not remember it? KFRC is one for me that
I have fond memories, even way down here in Santa Cruz. Give it a few more days and
something new will come together.

To wit, quoting the long-forgotten KUIC deejay of the early-1980s, Steve Hansen, from the
KNBA 1190 sign-offs in 1983:
"Live for today, by remembering Yesterday, And THINK ABOUT TOMORROW......."
I lost my train of thought...
Maybe it's from all the replies to all the quotes...OR...
