First let me say that I cannot stand DePetro. This has nothing to do with politics, I just think he is very overrated and does not belong in a market the size of Boston (I thought he was pushing the radio-success envelope in Providence).
That being said:
His comment was on the money. While no innocent person deserves to be the victim of a crime, no less rape and murder, you have to employ a little common sense in not putting yourself in harms way. He simply pointed that out.
And when are we going to STOP quoting anyone who heard "from someone else" what was said on the air? Those third party accounts ALWAYS take a comment out of context and exaggerate intent. Have we learned NOTHING over the years?
