Huffington Post is a great blog, so there are successful political blogs out there. But you are right about the "equalizer". The Conservatives in this country have always used words that are the opposite of what they mean. We progressives know that a lying conservative is just your garden variety liar - hardly an equalizer. "Integrity back to the White House" - please...

Who knows, in the wild world of talk radio the whole thing could turn out to be a net plus for Mr.D'o and the station. I've never heard the guy(saw him on E.Rooney show once) ,and obviously don't listen to WRKO(not even on my preset!), but maybe the public will read about this or hear about it somewhere and will venture to listen what the deal is?
One former Boston market mainstay said that talk-radio hosts were the single worst element in the biz. I would never call Mr.D'o a +++ but have probably thought of a few things far worse than that, with him and others in mind.

Hannity pointed out to her "how much fuel do those private planes you take burn up?" She replied,
"They are planes that were already going somewhere anyway," a clip that he replays on occasion.
(That along with "I drive a Honda Prius, God Bless America..." by a California-based caller--forget his
name--who claimed he drove a hybrid car. Sean informed him that, "er, actually Toyota makes the Prius...")

Andrew Sullivan (gay, very conservative,.....huh?) blog is very popular, other than that the blogosphere is still for the most part the fringe voice.
