Depetro talent being wasted at WPRO.

ScottBurns said:
The host of the "WPRO Morning News" should not be a hate-filled, run-of-the-mill conservative hack such as DePetro. While real objectivity is an impossibility, a morning news program should strive for it. While DePetro is certainly toned down now, can anyone imagine Salty Brine putting an ideological spin on anything? Can anyone imagine him cheering on Tea Party convention attendees?

Maybe Scott would be happier if a hate-filled, run-of-the-mill liberal hack such as Ed Schultz was to host the "WPRO Morning News"?? Uh huh!!!
What say you Holly?? :D

I also hear that John is very pleasant to work with. He has just a real nice personality and treats everyone very well. Always professional with his fellow staff members and is EXTREMELY well liked. But, why doesn't he EVER mention his wife? I'm sure he's a loyal husband. She tried to help him and his career.

Come on, wasted? He's lucky he has a job.
I think all your comments are meant to be "TONGUE IN CHEEK". I don't know of anyone who really likes him. They tolerate him. Have no choice.

We were at the "Hasbro Ball" a few weeks ago and he and his wife were there.
She is a "HOTTIE" Blonde hair, blue eyes, big, big tattoo on her right shoulder. It was very tasteful, not the usual dragon stuff. Real classy lady! She really is!!

When is his contract up? Wasn't it in March?

I was a big independent man fan when he was on 920. I liked him on 680, and even thought it was a better show. I like Rush, but 920 seems to be over.

920 isn't using the "Rush Radio" branding, like big-sister 1200-WXKS in the Boston market, but that's essentially what it's become......virtually all bird-feed, with just one token local show. SAD....sad.

If Sherm Strickhauser and Steve White were alive to see what's become of 920...it would kill 'em. ;)

Tee Man... you are totally right about Depetro in the AM and his being too busy with keeping segments flowing which doesn't allow time for taking himself too seriously and blowing it as he did on RKO. Anyone who has ever done morning drive would know you knows you're right.
