Jeff, thank you as always sir..I figure since my eyes are too weak to drive, It wont be that hard to navgate "THE T". I checked out the regular guys this morning..interesting...Im really digging that station as a whole..my only problem is lack of coverage in the northern metro (Denton/Mckinney)

The Trinity Railway Express is a great way to get from downtown FW to Dallas. Doesn't run on Sunday though. We are working on a streetcar system that will connect downtown to the cultural district and the near south side. Similar to the system in Portland, Ore.

Good luck with that. According to my dad, Fort Worth been talking about real mass transit for almost 20 years..and still nothing.

Anyway, back on topic. I listen mostly to Sirrius when I'm driving to work. But when I get to the office, I used to listen to Jagger on 105.3, but his show has gotten really dull lately. I'll listen to Lex and Terry for a little while, but they remind me of Russ' old show...it seems like the same show everytime I listen...which isn't often. I haven't found any other morning shows I like in DFW. I've resorted to listening to 1360AM for liberal radio. DFW's radio situation is really sad.

WBAP has started my mornings for the last 40 years or so. Having started my day anywhere from 430 to 730 AM the mix of news, weather, traffic, and bits has always been about right. I do miss some of Hal's older characters and the fact that he has been scaled back a bit.

I agree with earlier post about "forced laughter" on morning shows. The exaggerated talk about the latest American Idol, etc.

It is very annoying, especially when it's the first thing you hear in the morning. Too phony for me.

I switch between The Willis Johnson Good Morning Show on KKDA Soul 73 and Dunham & Miller on KTCK 1310. I love the Dear Crooner. Check out Willis and KKDA....its the best community radio station in D/FW.....PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very much agreed. It's a shame that KKDA (AM) is often overlooked when great, community-involved radio in D/FW is discussed. My morning listening, much like yours, is divided between KKDA/Soul 73 and KTCK but also includes WBAP.

The closest we've had here in Houston to KKDA-AM is KCOH 1430, but, sadly, it will soon go away.

You guys are lucky to have KKDA-AM. I hope it never gets sold.

I will miss hearing Ralph Cooper and Wash Allen. I used to listen to KCOH when I was going to SHSU....

I listen to Washington Journal on C-Span Radio, the call ins go from loony to right-on-target, and they have good guests sometimes.

And NPR's Morning Edition (KERA 90.1)

Needless to say I'm an info junkie, but not interested in celebrity "news" or the police report of petty crimes, accidents, and killings.

@ lbertynt..

What is 93.1? Ive never heard of it..
93.1 is a Country Station called Katy Country in Bells [Sherman-Denison] Texas That puts a usable signal into
Collin County http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/pat?call=KMKT&service=FM&status=L&hours=U
And Also Since You will be in Ft Worth...
95.9 The Ranch has a good show i think. 96.7 Puts a solid Signal there too.
Im spoiled Radio wise. Stuck in the middle of 2 Markets I get stations From Both.

Except for 92.1, which is virtually useless anywhere between 35E and 35W...

When i get down there I'll test it..I just bought a pretty acceptable tabletop radio in Denton with a cd player. I probably wont get 93.1, interference from 93.3..Ironically enough im finding myself flipping between 90.1, 93.3 and 95.9..I think 95.9 might be a rimshot where im going to live in Haltom city till the transmitter move though

Pending what 92.1 you listen to. The Collin County one is good In Rockwall But Dies in Dallas.
