Overall, I'd say all the stations did a pretty good job. There were pros and cons to each:
Channel 8 had video of damage first, but seemed to focus on that too much while the storm was still causing damage in other parts of the area. I saw way too much of the damaged Minyards in Haltom City while the strong storm was blasting into my neighborhood.
Channel 4 had some REALLY good video of what looked to me like a tornado on the ground at the site where Scott Sayres was reporting from early in the evening. They lost out when they went off the air for about a half hour or so, but seem to have recovered well tonight.
Channel 5 had good information early on and into prime time, but inexplicably cut away to NBC programming at around 7:45 or so.
Channel 11's news information and storm spotter stuff was great, but Kristine just has no credibility during severe weather. She was tentative and seemed confused at time. Mike Burger was much better and so was Gary Seith from TXA-21.
Big props to Channel 33's Bob Goosman. He cut in to programming around 6:15 or so and stayed with it into prime time for a bit. They were very limited in their information though because they didn't have that many people out on the streets. It was primarily just Goosman and his radar. He did well. They went back to wrestling around 7:20 once the worst had passed. It's just rare to see CW33 actually serve the public this way. Kudos to them.
