Diamond Sports loses another team.

According to Sports Business Journal, Diamond Sports has "discussed eliminating the RSN contracts for as many as five of its NBA teams: purportedly the Pelicans, Thunder, Grizzlies, Mavericks and Pistons."

So the Timberwolves will remain with Bally then

The Pistons are in danger of getting drop out of Bally Sports Detroit. We don't know about the Tigers and Red Wings just yet.

Detroit need to revive PASS Sports as a FAST streaming service and Pistons and Red Wings needs to be in that streaming service.

According to the Hockey News' team page that Detroit Red Wings could be next in line to drop out of Bally Sports. Bally Sports is about to set to lose the Pistons and the Tigers could be headed to the MLB TV next year. Bally Sports Detroit needs to be shut down just like Arizona last year.

First they lost 4 professional sports teams last year and them they have lost 2 NHL teams and they about to lose 5 NBA teams and a major NHL team.

1 down, 4 to go .. possibly more. The New Orleans Pelicans have signed with Grey's WVUE 8 full time with 70 games in 24-25 some on Fox 8, most on Bounce (Cox 115), pre-empting that programming. Cox may move the channel up the lineup if and Bally Sports New Orleans goes dark.

Wild and Timberwolves haven't mentioned about Bally yet. I heard that while Wild might do their own Victory+, Timberwolves are involved about creating a new TV home that will be similar to the YES network.

maybe the twins will join the t-wolves with a new network

List 5 NBA teams that drop out of Bally Sports and transferred to owners
New Orleans Pelicans - Gray (Confirmed)
Memphis Grizzlies
Oklahoma City Thunder
Dallas Mavericks
Detroit Pistons

They maybe more NBA and NHL teams would be dropping out of Bally Sports...

Rumor: Pistons and Red Wings might be launching their FAST streaming service called PASS Sports, a partnership between 313 presents and Paramount Global, the owner of 2 television stations in Detroit (WWJ [CBS affiliate] and WKBD [so-to-be rejoining the CW next month]). WKBD might be air select Pistons and Red Wings games and preempt the CW program to overnight.

Well, if so, here's my predictions.

Memphis Grizzlies - Tegna
Oklahoma City Thunder - Griffin Media or Inyo/Scripps
Dallas Mavericks - Victory+ or Nexstar
Detroit Pistons - Scripps

No official Press Release from Gray Television and no rejection filed with the Bankruptcy court by Diamond yet either. So it's probably not a done deal yet. I'm going to guess that Gray Television will not put out a official Press Release when it comes to the Pelicans until things are officially set in motion in the court to avoid being sued by Diamond like they were last year when they put out a Press Release about acquiring the Phoenix Suns rights before Diamond's rights had expired.

What other options do sports franchises have? No company is willing to pay a high price for regular season games that aren’t on national tv (nbc, tnt, espn). Very few, I mean very few will pay $39.99 to only air their teams on streaming. Pairing a streaming app + airing a rebroadcast of the streaming broadcast on OTA is the only way it’ll work now.

Diamond Sports has filed an agreement with the Bankruptcy Court that will keep 7 NHL Teams on Bally Sports through the 2024-25 Season, and if they confirm a Chapter 11 Plan, it will continue beyond the 2024-25 Season.
