XL102 did this back in 2001, the station later went down the tubes FAST(although IMO, it was dead before that point). Dick Hungate is a FIXTURE in Richmond Radio. I am NO LONGER listening to the planet due to this move. Syndicated Morning drive shows are one thing for here, but VTing in the middle of the day, just as a excuse to save money, sorry but that is NOT the way to keep what is more important, LISTENERS and products they use because of the ads on the radio.
Dick, I can remember back when he was working at WRXL, a great class act in my view. Just as with Jeff Beck, Tara Hunter, Lark Logan, Brian Illes, Jeff McKee, Rik Maybee, Lucas Foxx and others who worked there in the past during the 80's and 90's...blessed with a LOT of musical knowledge as well as being a class act and treating the listeners like a guest in their home. Dick, wherever the road takes you next, wether it be here in Richmond still or elsewhere, I wish you the best, thanks for being in Richmond sir, it has been a honor and a pleasure.
