Did Dana Hersey get the boot from 'RKO as well?

Well, if it's only about the money, then that's your choice.

But you know what they say, "lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas".

BTW...By associating with WRKO and doing intros for felons and acused rapists, do you think Dana will be the voice of any banks, insurance companies, or any other product of integrity?

Yes. Why do you think he wouldn't? Jeff Berlin voices spots for Grand Theft Auto...yet I hear him on radio spots all the time (and not just CC/KISS, either). Brian James' is the voice of Access Hollywood (or one of those tabloid TV shows) yet that doesn't kill his credibility to do Rock stations.

This thread is very funny. Dana Hersey is a true original. He did a killer Movie Loft monologue about having to interview a very difficult William Shatner. Dana was PO'ed. Shatner must have been a pill. Last year a guy who does work on my house showed up here in a really foul mood. I tried to get him to say what was wrong and he finally blurted out, "It's not you, I just got back from F$#%ing William Shatner's house." LOL. I immediately thought of Dana Hersey!

Because Dana is not just another nameless, faceless, anonymous announcer.

He is a pretty well known personality...and now he's associated with a crap station.

I really think he's gone. I haven't heard him in weeks. no "Howard Lawrence Carr", no Finneran intros, etc.

Nice, when you can't make a logical argument, just refer to the station in question as "crap." Yawn.

I think the logical argument went right over your head.

BTW..if you want to defend WRKO....find one recognized and respected figure in radio broadcasting that thinks it's a good station.

Over my head? You're argument has been weak from the start; just because YOU think the station is bad, it's an automatic that a voiceover person shouldn't voice said station and NOT make money and, in return, enhance their voiceover business?? Whatever.

I am not defending WRKO, my argument has always been about the business of voiceovers. Calling a station "crap" just shows your intellect, that's it. At least be a little more creative when trashing someone.

Again, some people would not want to be associated with felons and other criminals. That may be over your head, but if you're only in it for the money, and you "checked your integrity at the door" which you seem to state is not a problem...then so be it.

Yes, I called WRKO a crap station, bad programming, bad business, bad talent (I'll give Howie a pass). The station is a former shell of it's once great self. Intellect? WRKO shows a lack of any evidence of such.

Again, if you think this is only a question of my intellect, once again, then please find a responsible radio broadcaster who disagrees with me and finds WRKO to be a well run station.
