Don't forget Kool and the Gang. All three made either #1 or #2! Odd title, as well!

If this was submitted before, sorry:

Words-Bee Gees
Words-The Monkees
Words-Missing Persons

...I wouldn't be surprised if there are others with this title.

Nope, the chorus of the Campbell song went "Houston, I'm-a comin' to see you ..." Definitely not his big crossover hit "Galveston."

How about two groups that have the same name, but may be spelled different.

Climax and Klymaxx
"The Beat" and "The English Beat" which was "The Beat" in the UK.
There are two groups named "Face To Face".

There are two groups named "Face To Face".

Two Johnny Mathises, one pop, one country. The country one went by "Country" Johnny Mathis.

There were two groups with the name "The Temptations." The well-known Motown group, and a white doo-wop group that had one minor hit in 1960.

Then there was also Garry Mills and Garry Miles, who simultaneously charted with different versions of the same song. This was mentioned earlier in this thread.

Two Johnny Mathiseseses? Hmm...

Apparently there was a British band called The Spinners. I remember seeing Billboard charts for the UK and when the US Spinners had a hit, they were called the Detroit Spinners, per the survey.
