WOWO has a good signal even down into the SC coast, as I've heard it probably 10 times here, with Colts football and other programming.
In our area, the most directional AM is WJKB, 950. WJKB has a six tower setup, day and night, about 35 mi NE of Charleston. They are a classic country station for the Charleston area, but they have a better signal on the east side of the market.
You can hear it all the way past Georgetown during the day, but until they upgraded their night signal a couple years ago (which was so bad it couldn't be heard well five or so miles from the transmitter).
