Do any AC stations still play these tracks?

Michael Jackson - Heal the World just aired on Delilah. Never heard it before on any AC station ever. (This was on KAFE 104.1)

"Constant Craving" by k.d. lang, heard one time on Meet My 90's Weekend on Magic 104.1 KMGL from Oklahoma City in 2011. It seems like KMGL dropped Flashback Weekends (70's & 80's) and Meet My 90's Weekend and they only do Awesome 80's Weekend by now.

I used to think "Groovy Kind of Love" seemed out of place on America's Best Music, but when I heard it this morning it seemed like something that would be out of place on AC now.

Paul Davis and Ambrosia.

Those artists were big Miami staples on y-100, and I-95 int 70's and 80's and probably test well for WLYF.

I can't believe how banished "Second Chance" by 38 Special has become from AC. It was their biggest hit, and was their only AC hit (#1, at that).

Many songs that made #1 (before Mediabase..Soundscan etc.)were pushed up the charts by stations (not saying this one was).

If you put this song in a test with other 38 songs, this one would be the least memorable.

Not a bad song, but doesn't have that wow! factor.

How about "We Don't Need Another Hero" by Tina Turner? I'm hearing that one on KZST 100.1 in Santa Rosa, online of course. But it's a song I never hear.

And that's a good thing.

Ironically, the last station I heard it on was oldies, though that station changes format like most people change underwear.

Gosh, I probably haven't heard that one since 1985!

What about "Breakout" by Swing Out Sister? I haven't heard an AC play that in years, despite the fact that it seems like it would fit in well with the sound the format seems to want these days.

KMGL used to played it frequently from 2010-2012, WLYF and KODA used to play it occasionally around the 2010-2012 era as well. But since Fall 2012, I haven't heard it on KMGL or WLYF, nor I seen KODA play it either through their online playlist.

WLMG recently added this song into their playlist as of their playlist update earlier this year.

I like that one, and I think the last time I heard it was in my grocery store. Anything I hear there, if I can remember to do it, I put on the Muzak thread.

I was in the mountains last week and able to pick up four AC stations. I was surprised by what I heard.

Although all four stations are supposedly doing the more uptempo brand of AC, one played "Rock with You", which is so conservative I halfway expect it on my station. One played "Open Arms", which maybe isn't so strange. One played "Right Here Waiting" by Richard Marx. One played either "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" or "Circle of Life". I just remember it was from "Lion King". I know one of the four stations did "Separate Ways", which is about as high-energy a song as I've heard on an AC other than some of the newer stuff. There are other examples of the uptempo material on all four stations but that's what I remember.

Another rare AC track I have heard recently is Dreamin' by Cliff Richard. I heard that a few weeks ago on Easy 95.5 (WQEZ)
I only know the one by Vanessa Williams and I can't recall whether it's still on America's Best Music.

I haven't heard this one there (yet) but I heard "Sad Songs" in a store.

I just thought of another song. It doesn't belong here, but somewhere else on this site I read criticism of the station for playing so much country. I don't think of "Before He Cheats" as a crossover song but apparently someone does.

This thread has actually been pretty resourceful. I have a 70s/80s/90s station on Live365 and have been trying to rotate some of the tracks mentioned on this thread in and out recently. I hope it's OK for me to mention it here, if any of you are interested: http://www.live365.com/stations/radio_rewind

It's nothing soft like Easy 93 or WDUV, but it's nice to play upbeat songs and prove that softer, slower tracks can coexist with them and not sound like a train wreck!
