Do any AC stations still play these tracks?

Was listening to KSRW-92.5 Independence, CA (more like a Gold AC/Smooth Jazz mix in the middle of Eastern Central CA - Bishop area) and heard two VERY RARE James Taylor songs, both from his 1997 Hourglass album: "Yellow and Rose" and "Line 'Em Up". I'm sure that maybe a few ACs aired those songs in 1997-98, but not NOW of course... KSRW is an incredible station and people should listen more! Tunein.com has a stream however the quality is low.

I heard Hold on My Heart - Genesis this week on 96.1 KXXO. Hard to hear nowadays and mentioned in the 1st post here.

Also, who plays "Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Babe" by Barry White anymore? Dial Global AC just did but I don't know if any ACs do anymore.

Barry White may still get some play on Premium Choice, but with so many AC's abandoning or slashing the 70s material, I doubt he gets much airplay on the format these days. I haven't heard him played on the format in ages.

The late 80s and early-mid 90s had a ton of soft AC songs that are totally gone now. Does anyone still play "Shattered Dreams" by Johnny Hates Jazz? #1 on AC in 1988.

How Can I Fall - Breathe. All I hear is "Hands to Heaven" but Cumulus/ABC's "Hits and Favorites" satellite network (KCRE 94.3 Crescent City) just aired it.

Heck, I don't even hear "Hands to Heaven" on any stations anymore. Wow!

The satellite AC formats, IMO, sound much better than the locally programmed ones, generally. Better music variety and not the same burned out gold tracks.

"I Don't Wanna Cry" by Mariah Carey - just heard on WAHR Star 99 in Huntsville, AL's webstream. Song doesn't sound familiar to me. A rare Mariah!

That was #1 in 1991. Last single from her debut album, if I am not mistaken. It is indeed rare to hear that one now.

This may be an odd question, and a bit out of place, but did any AC stations EVER play "A Brighter Day" by The Doobies in 2011-2012? I absolutely LOVED that song (and I typically don't like new material from artists that are a bit..."over the hill?"), but I don't know if many AC's played it. WSPA-FM played it in overnights only after it was released.

It's funny that established AC artists from the 70s and 80s managed to have #1 hits on AC in the 90s (like Genesis, Hall and Oates, Elton John, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Billy Joel, etc.), but established artists have put out material in recent years and it's all been DOA on AC radio, outside of maybe some satellite formats and small market/local stations.

Thank the "research groups" for taking most '90s off AC stations. They don't seem to like 1990s AC music.

Have any of you guys heard "Captain of Her Heart" by Double over the air waves in your city recently?

I think I only heard this one on Allen Kepler's "Smooth Jazz Network" - but I may be wrong, it could have been Dial Global AC. Been a while however since I've heard it.

I heard The Beach 96.5 (HOT AC) in Corpus Christi TX play this within the last year. Kind of odd they would play it on a HOT AC station in 2013.

Just heard Celine Dion's "That's The Way It Is" for the first time in around two years - on KXXO in Olympia.

They also play Chic's late '70s disco hit "Good Times" on occasion. What other ACs play Chic's hits? Surely someone must have played "Le Freak" for a while...

A talk station where I live aired smooth jazz on weekends. That's the one place I've heard it in recent years. I might have heard it at my grocery store.

It's been a while since I did this, but seemed like every weekend just after 11 at night I would hear "Good Times" on the local urban AC, usually followed by "Rapper's Delight". Now that's good rap.

Don't give Dial Global standards any ideas.

Hard to hear Alias' "More Than Words Can Say" anymore on AC... (just heard on KXLT 107.9 in Boise, ID)

"I Go Crazy" by Paul Davis was on Dial Global standards earlier this week. Great instrumentals on that one. It's hard to believe that's what AC used to mean.

"All at Once" Whitney Houston, heard on soft AC KQEZ in Idaho Falls, seems to be gone from AC radio as well.

Is this a WDUV type station or more like lite 101.5 in Miami?

I heard "Lady Love" by Lou Rawls this morning. I don't know if it was ever an AC song. Surely it must have been, but I can't remember ever hearing it other than on Dial Global standards.
