Who could forget the all-time worst one, NBC Fall 1978:

"N-B-See Us"

More like "NB See Sucks".

I remember seeing one of those Saturday Night Live specials which showed a parody of the "NB See-Us" campaign--I just can't remember right now what the "show" subject to the ad parody was.

It was the "Network Battle of the Ts and As", from 10/7/1978:

1980 NBC "Proud As A Peacock" (soulful but lame)

NBC used "Proud as a Peacock" two seasons in a row (1979 and 1980) -- but the reuse of slogans, of course, does not mean a network's success; this was when Fred Silverman ran the network, and most new shows under his wing tanked left, right and center (especially "Supertrain").

Two things I remember about that campaign was one year, Johnny Carson began an anniversary special with a stuffed peacock while the jingle played; the peacock later blew up after the jingle ended.

Another one featured the singers of the jingle singing a special version of it, which made fun of Silverman and his programming policies that almost tanked NBC.

I remember the We're Proud that was became "We're Loud"

The ABC We're Still The One Fostered many of us who worked at a small market ABC station to display the #1 sign ! LOL
