"Doctor" Bob Martin, Radio ghoul

Yeah-Vioxx, that is truly nuts. From what I've heard, that was pushed through with FDA approval w/o the appropriate trials having taken place, same for the anemia drug for chemo patients that's so dangerous. I don't trust the FDA very much and I don't blame people for trying to find a healthier alternative and I think they should have that choice.

Maybe the good doc will stay on the air and turn his show into a colon blow hour... ::)

Beave,

If the $$ are right...CC will likely try to do just that!

You are truly hopeless!

Its only propaganda if it doesn't fit your agenda.

No conspiracy theorist here. I respect all trained, hard working health/medical professionals and their quest to help the sick and infirm. But, when they claim and/or imply omnipresence, 'umbarage happens'. Do you think maybe that's why they're called 'healing arts' and not healing sciences. But, you maybe mixing up math, a true science, with healthcare?

If you believe that trials, studies, published studies and the blind leading the blind, implies safety and efficacy i've got some really really cheap left over Vioxx and a pile of other pharm poison for you. Now, that's NUTS.

You enjoy using the 'Q' word as a means to put something or someone down. I'm bored with your weak attempt to imply magnificant superiority... how shallow will you stay?

Geez, you sound like a Scientologist!

If Tony Snow did what "Doctor" Bob wanted, he would have some adenoidal vegan shoving papaya leaves up his bum, and a bunch of crystals placed on his chakras. After they soaked him for every last dollar, he would have died anyway.

Tony knew the risks, he went to real doctors, they fought the good fight for a long time, and he always received the state of the art of care, not some diploma mill phony endlessly shilling for every dodgy product and silly fad that comes down the line.

You don't see that, you can't, the world is some evil conspiracy against you.

How sad is that?

Well, looks like someone's got a beef!

Sorry, but I'll take something tested by trials, published studies, and double-blind studies leading the blind over quackery that isn't even tested for safety and efficacy any day of the week. Half the products that "Dr." Bob pushes don't pass any sort of scientific scrutiny beyond "does this have a shiny label that lists ingredients" and "is there some anecdotal evidence that it might work?"

Putting chemicals into your body that haven't been tested is even more NUTS than ingesting a "pile of pharm poison."

Hey, he's a Chiropractor for cryin' out loud! Nuff said.

(btw...Nurse Jeff wants the unused Vioxx)

I don't really believe there's anything wrong with homeopathic remedies at all--sometimes they are better than injecting yourself full of pharmaceutical drugs and risking your health. All of that having been said, I think any "doctor" (and I don't mean that disparagingly toward Doctor Bob, he knows more about medicine than I do I'm sure) that would almost always recommend natural cures over surgery, especially in a case such as cancer, is really not any different than the Christian Science people--the same ones that deny their children vaccines and treatments for common ailments that then become chronic or life-threatening. It is an advocacy of irresponsibility.

As was eluded to earlier in this thread, Doctor Bob could have used this opportunity to encourage people to get screened for colon cancer--and maybe he did, but he could have done so in a way that didn't hawk for a product--which is what he does regularly. I will be the first to admit I didn't hear him talk about Tony Snow last Saturday, though I do trust what Legend City had to say--I have heard him speak about others following their deaths with a similar tact; "hey, that's awfully sad about (insert name here), but maybe had they not been a slave to the pharmaceutical companies and taken ColonClense 2008 they would still be here, ColonClense 2008 is available at all QuackHealth shops, tell 'em Doctor Bob sent ya..."

Doc,

Really nice site I got a giggle out of that one...

Along the same lines... KFGO in Fargo, ND has added a naturopath
to it's show line up... Don't ya love brokered time?

I was listening to them today on my way to Ada, MN to do a studio
installation of a selector system (a 30 min job - that pays 4 hours)

Well I am healing after going under the knife. No cabal from the AMA, just good, real doctors and staff.

i could have had it done with arthoscope from a new fad doctor (with billboards and radio ads), but i wanted it done RIGHT.

(typing with one hand sucks) ;D

Legend City:

You should try taking shark cartilage, glucosamine with chondroitin and fish oil to speed your recovery. ;D

If that doesn't work, try some oxycontin; they come with the EIB stamp of approval.

It seems that the "Doctor" (Chiropractor) has a page about him at Quackwatch

http://www.quackwatch.org/12Web/drbob.html

And that nurse thing is real! The "Doctor" will talk with you for 15 minutes for $89 bucks! And he calls actual doctors greedy.

15 minutes, lets see how many plugs he would get in during that amount of time. Its like Sylvia Browne with a pseudo degree.

WOW, i checked out the site you referenced. Congrats to Dr. Bob for being in good company with the likes of two time Nobel Laureate recipent Linus Pauling, Ph.D, and other brilliant individuals. Anyone with half-a-brain will readily recognize that the site you mention is an afront to BIG PHARMA and managed by an unlicenced shrink MD (master of desception) who's been sued multiple times and lost.

Dr. Martin interviewed a prominent M.D. and Ph.D yesterday (don't recall his name) who stated that only 20% of all medical procedures and drug therapies have ever been proven to work using their own medical standards. And as i contemplated, the enormity of his forthright statement, I realized that means 80% of all things medical (drugs/surgery) have never been proven and are essentially experimental. Further, he reminded me of a statement i read in a magazine recently by a top scientist with pharmaceutical giant Glaxo Smith Kline, "90% of all drugs both OTC and precribed ONLY work 30-50% of the time. Talk about an eye opener. But, not to worry because its obvious truth doesn't matter to you.

Dr. Bob must love what you're doing for him by for calling attention to his busy website at www.doctorbob.com..cha ching...LMAO

Yeah, and he is also in the company of other frauds like Kevin Trudeau! (its a conspiracy!!!)

So, 15 minutes fo 90 bucks? Sure sounds like a greedy Doctor to me!

His degrees are crap, one only takes a one day seminar to obtain. And dropping out of a Carribean diploma mill after 4 months?

Oh, the hits keep coming!

So "Dr." Bob interviewed another quack? Wow! Any proof to his claims?

Eye opening, lets see some peer reviewed proof.

Go ahead and give this grifter some of your money, its your life.

But, people know about this quack, and its time for the "Doctor" to answer some questions.

So, everybody must be a quack if they don't agree with your... 'take phamaceuticals and get hacked by surgeons - early and often' position...right?

Dr. Bob must have ruffled your little feathers about something. If you feel so strongly about your position, i challange you to call his show and take him on. I don't expect that you'll take me up on my challenge because vindictive mental midgets like to hide behind their keyboards. Where's you proof that his degrees are crap? Anyone as knowledgeable about health as he is must have excellent degrees.

I agree with you that some doctors are greedy. Take for example heart surgery at a cost of 80-100k out-the-door. If the patient dies they still get paid. But, most in my opinion most doctors like Dr. Bob Martin...really do care~!

Pardon me, I have to go catch my eyes.

It seems I rolled them too far this time.

Wow, so defensive and conspiratorial. I don't like frauds. Facts about "Dr." Bob speak for themselves. Tell you what, when you get sick, go see all the scam artists, I'll go to an actual doctor. I could call his show, and you could call a real doctor's show with your stupidity and conspiracy theories, what would that yield?

His degrees are crap, chiropractor, some one day seminar degree, another cert from some dodgy woo-woo outfit. How come Bob couldn't hack more than 4 months at a diploma mill in St. Vincent?

He is all about making dough, pure and simple. Just ask him...(hope you got $90)

Keep acting nutty, I find it fascinating, and enjoyable.
