One wonders what on earth makes Dru so valuable that they're keeping him around for the holidays. True that he's doing nothing more than performing as a cold body in the morning show (send him away and let Danny stumble through the show alone for whatever time KYKX has left in the format) and otherwise doing step-and-fetch-it scut work, but why is he still on the payroll after several months of speculation that he's out soon? If management was so displeased with the bonding/suicide debacle and other self-serving stunts he's pulled, why not go ahead and process his walking papers and show him the door. No one could sound any worse on the air--boot him and go to the Workforce Commission and hire day labor to fill his shift and empty the garbage.
Also--since he obviously knows he's a short timer now, is he doing anything toward finding another job (outside of radio would be in keeping), or when the time comes will he say, "This is so sudden. What, oh what, am I going to do?"
Hint to Dru--bond with the people at the unemployment office. They like that sort of thing.
