Dusty on WMOH?

Over the past few weeks, I have noticed that Dusty Rhodes is voicing spots on WMOH. All of the spots seem to be for Butler County businesses.

What's going on? Is Dusty working for WMOH?

Is he no longer on WDJO?

Dusty stepped down from his moring position at WDJO several years ago to focus on his re-election campaign as Hamilton County auditor in which he won...I venture to guess that since then the county has been laying off people in his office and now has to do the work of his layed off coworkers himself. Dusty is also getting older and I'm sure he wants more quality time with his family and with his grandkds. Thankfully,he still produces his yearly Christmas Spectacular which is aired on stations nationwide.

It wasn't several as that word connotes more than 3....

He left about they time that they migrated over to 1480.

You will hear and enjoy his upcoming Frank Sinatra Special on WMKV FM..

I listened to the Sinatra special online and it was INCREDIBLE! I hope they replay it soon. 18 hours of songs played chronologically from his early days right up to the "Duets." Mr. Rhodes is a wealth of knowledge. I would love to hear this done with the work of Maysville's own Rosemary Clooney. It would be awesome to include some cuts from the WLW archives. Is there a way that he can be contacted via email?

Is Dusty that upset with the guys at 1480?

Its kind of odd that he would choose WMOH over WDJO for his special.

Dusty's voice being all over WMOH's air on spots for various Butler County businesses is far more curious than anything to do with the Christmas special.

Does anyone know what happened between Dusty and WDJO? A show from him fits on WDJO ad not on WMOH. There is no question that Dusty is a class act.

FYI. Brian Kauffmann, one of the owners of WDJO, is also sales manager at WMOH. Maybe this is why Dusty pops up on WMOH

There are several folks that read this Board who know, if they want to say

Did they part on good terms?

Seems like Dusty showing up on WMOH would be a slap in the face.....

I work on a tiny AM station--- the tiny mighty MO is even smaller---

I make my 25 bucks a show and get to play the hits--- Cool for an old guy like me-- I am grateful for the chance to COOK!

recording commercials for a station in Hamilton?

I'm sure Dusty is making great money doing it or why bother--- the listeners (oops-- wait there are not any up there--- not that we have many more) do not care

It is great to hear Dusty on the air -- I miss the KING!

No kidding. You cannot say that there are no listeners to MOH. They showed in the latest Arbitron with a CUME audience of 10K plus.

They can, but they probably won't. The phony "politeness" and policy of "if you can't say anything nice..." that I constantly see in southern Ohio makes me want to upchuck. ::)
