I checked both Analog and Digital channels 2 - 6 from 6:30PM onward and didn't observe any untypical activity. WKOB-LD New York, broadcasting on Channel 2, which is a stable regular for me as I live within its coverage area, was fully receivable without any interference.

If any activity occurred before 6:30PM, when I found out about the E-Skip opening, I am not aware.

It is possible for this to happen at my location because about two years ago, another E-Skip opening which brought many FM radio stations from Northern Florida and Georgia also brought along some Analog TV stations to Channels 3 and 5 which were both in Spanish. The quality was not good at all, so recording them or getting pictures proved a very difficult task. This had happened about two months after the DTV transition, and I can recall thinking how near impossible it would have been to pull those stations if the full-power Analogs from New York City were still on the air.

BIG Es in Auburn, WA today [was with relatives without any computer access, so wrote on old-fashioned paper]. Here's the logs

95.5 KYOT Phoenix, AZ, ID "Eva". Relog, 8:10pm
96.9 KMXP Phoenix, AZ, ID "Mix 96.9", relog, 8:15pm
98.7 KPKX Phoenix, AZ, ID "The Peak", NEW #195, 8:20pm
104.7 KZZP Phoenix, AZ, ID "104.7 Kiss FM" into Katy Perry, 8:25pm. NEW #196
94.5 KOOL Phoenix, AZ, Air Supply song ending, jingle "94.5 Kool FM" relog 8:30PM
91.5 Mix of Jazz [likely KJZZ-AZ, relog] and Classical
98.5 unid with Boys Are Back in Town Thin Lizzy. KABG-NM? Who else?
107.9 either Lia or Delilah, female host, KMLE or who?
99.7 UNID with mention of Southern Utah o/ KISW IBOC briefly. Also, who is this?

Skip faded out around 8:45PM.

P.S.: Do y'all think this is the July 6, 2004 of the post DTV-transition era? I think SO! It deserves local news attention almost [...and if you were trying to tune to your locals tonight, you heard a station in Missouri instead. Why is that?...]

No chance to hear any E skip during the evening hours last night because of work schedule...

DM601, the 92.9 is WSCD in Duluth, MN. I have heard this station during Eskip 3 times here in VA, with the latest being last year.

Never had that 92.9 here in Central VA, but I always seem to get 92.9 WVBW "The Wave" from Hampton Roads during an opening. In fact, all those Eastern stations start to come in and let me know to start scanning the dial. Yesterday however, the E was running over locals pretty hard. That doesn't seem to happen as much here.

I am listening primarily on a Technics receiver with a rooftop 10 element Yagi and rotator at around 40 feet up. I switched to my Grundig G3 during all the activity, went outside and was getting the same thing.

Had lots of (very) intermittent sporadic-e from Mexican stations on analog TV channels 2-6 last night, at Midvale, UT (Salt Lake City area).
A few had full-quieting audio.

I often get WVBW here in northern VA and I once got WXHL Farmville in Fauquier Co, during separate openings.

I heard 3 stations battling on 92.3 while down in Tupelo, MS for the day. I listened and the dominant station went to a stopset and there was a contest so I called the studio line that was given out. 207-626-9200. The station was 92 Moose. WMME in Augusta Maine. The guy kept saying he was sure I was probably listening online but I turned up the radio and let him listen through the phone and attempted to explain what was happening. It's hard to explain Sporatic E's sometimes.

Based on folloeing the DX Sherlock map most of the time all day yesterday and also the reports that are coming in here, I made a little map using Microsoft Paint showing the trend of the main clusters of Es 'clouds' above 88 Mhz across the country.

While there were some isolated high frequency Es clouds outside this general area, I think it shows an interesting pattern of the progression of yesterday's big E Skip events.

Remember. The shaded area represents the actual Es clouds which caused the skip, not the areas where we were hearing the skip.

Actually Farmville is in Prince Edward County, about 150 miles South of NoVa. Do you ever hear 95.7 WFLO from there? It can be a visitor here under the right conditions.

From Elyria, Ohio:

93.7 KLBJ Austin, TX
93.9 KEYE Perryton, TX
93.9 KDGS Wichita, KS
93.9 KAGZ Nacogdoches, TX
94.3 KCVW Kingman, KS (Possibly, it was some religous station)

UNID's some public radio station on 94.5 . I believe it mentioned rather Kansas State university but I can't find any Public radios on 94.5 in Kansas.

Public station on 90.5

a mention of "K 95" on 93.9 during a commercial. Sister station maybe?

nocomradio, I meant to say, "...Farmville while I was in Fauquier Co." And yes, I've gotten WFLO 95.7 in the past, also this year.

Mario, sorry, my bad. I figure you would have a radio turn on most of the time.

This has to happen today..

I can't even find my DX-380 :( When I did listen in the morning's..nothing

I gave up, I didn't get nothing the past 2 months, and now this
