E-Skip alert!

What is the farthest weather station anyone has ever gotton??

When we were vacatioing in Florida (Orlando) i got the weather station from Alabama every morning very strong!

The 7/6/04 E-skip opening was probably the biggest E-skip opening of the decade. DXers noticed E-skip up to 222 mHz! From Inlet, NY, a DXer got WDAM 7 Laurel, MS, WVUE 8 New Orleans, LA, WTOK 11 Meridian, MS, WAKA 8 Selma, AL, WJTV 12 Jackson, MS, tentative WTVA 9 Tupelo, MS and WLOX 13 Blioxi, MS in one swoop! I bet, if I DXed that day, all the locals would have been wiped out by three channels on the same frequency!!!!!

On 7/6/04, all the local stations were wiped out, every frequency had several stations, it lasted all day. Even a 50,000 watt station 10 miles from me was unlistenable due to 100,000 watt stations 1000 miles away. People even complained to local stations about the reception problems and it made the TV news that night.
