ERC Radio 1170, Country 1250, Classic Oldies 105.5?

If Greater Media is going to sell a station to the EBC folks, then I'm surprised it's not 1450 WCTC, because 1450 would give them an AM Stereo signal 24 hours a day with nearly flawless coverage of central NJ's South Asian communities (Edison, South Plainfield, Iselin, etc.), even at night. However, WCTC is one of GM's "flagship" stations, so just like WPEN, they'll hang on to it even if its programming is a mess and its ratings are in the dump.
Nevertheless, if EBC Radio will end up on 1170 WWTR as planned, then that certainly supports the scattered rumors that the Classic Oldies format will be moving to 105.5 WDHA -- which would open up 1250 WMTR to switch to a Country format, just in time for the CMAs in New York City on November 15th! Or, perhaps vice versa: Classic Oldies stays on 1250, and Country comes to 105.5 -- depending on which format is seen as being more marketable to advertisers.
Still, if EBC wanted a flea-power daytimer in central NJ, they should've looked at 1070 WKMB instead, since they could probably resurrect WKMB's old Counstruction Permit to upgrade from 250 to 2500 watts and possibly add a nighttime signal as well (probably only 50 to 100 watts, but it's still better than nothing!).
Edit: Another thought is that Greater Media may turn 1450 WCTC into a WMTR simulcast, thus giving Classic Oldies a full 24-hour signal in Central Jersey -- in AM Stereo, too, if they wire it up correctly!
