The thing that doesn't make sense about the lawsuit is that the station still uses plugs with P and or K's voices. If someone no longer works for a company, can they still use their name/voice for advertisement? I agree that Pugs is a bafoon, ranting and raving and needing to be right about things that don't really matter. But I thought their format was unlike any other. Their 'realness' made them fun to listen to; their dependence on their listeners calling in with their own opinions made the show less about 'them' and more about a 'shared experience'. If they're really gone, I'll be sad. But I'll get a lot more work done during those hours without having them on. BDH just doesn't do it for me. We already have one daytime show that is testosterone-only, and I can take it in small doses. We don't need another.
I disagree with the person who said the station doesn't owe us an explanation or at least an acknowlegement with a 'we can't tell you yet'. There are a lot of loyal P&K listeners who may or may not stick around for a new format. But they (the listeners) need to feel respected and valued, and the station is missing the mark on that one.
