They are dropping like flys... Well I hope cidc will get it danced up abit again, every since Kiss signed on the dance has decreased.
And stations like the "Galaxy" and "Kiss" clusters in the UK are leading the way.CHRles said:The Brits, as usual, are a couple of years ahead of us on this trend. The current number one on the UK charts is exactly the type of sound KDM and Morpheux are talking about.

... then as the dance beat sound begins to catch on, someone will think to do an urban/rhythmic dance format, and when successful, more dance leaning formats will begin to pop up.
Since all the "old" formats are dying away, there will be no "standard dance formula" to follow, therefore, people may be open to coming up with new ideas for a new styled dance format that will actually work and catch people's attention.

I just noticed what I said there. Urban/rhythmic dance format was a horrible way to describe it or paint a picture in people's minds. I should rather say electro hip hop, rhythmic pop, and dance hits, meaning a station catering specifically (or mainly) to the uptempo sound along with other electronic influenced or pure dance hits in the playlist. Example,
Lil Jon - Give it all you got
Black Eyed Peas - Boom Boom Pow
Booty Luv - Say it
Jay Sean - Down
Kim Sozzi - feel your love
Daisy - Everytime
Dj Class - I'm the ish
Shakira - She wolf
David Guetta - Sexy Bitch
Lady Gaga - LoveGame
Cascada - Evacuate the dancefloor
Honorebel ft Pitbull - Shake
Akon - Beautiful
Jeremih - Birthday Sex (remix)
Fuzzy Logik - In the morning
La Roux - Bulletproof
Flo Rida - In the ayer
Kaci Battaglia - Crazy Possessive
There will probably be three styles of dance stations to kick things off with. The Urban dance format/dance format that leans towards urban rhythmic electronic; The dance lean top 40 / top 40 hits with a dance lean, and the dance station that leans more on the side of the pure vocal dance tracks with some pop and stuff thrown in... kind of similar to how rhythmic is done today. Urban lean rhythmics, traditional middle of the road rhythmics, and top 40 lean rhythmics. It looks like this could happen, but this is just my prediction, assuming that all this takes place before the next move in technology advancements take place. This is like me predicting t.v. programming in 2005, being unaware of Zulu or YouTube coming along... but then again, t.v. still exists without too much change, so.... bottom line is it could happen.
Although I believe it could happen, I have my reason for doubts...
When you really think of it, what's going on today really is nothing more than a fusion of new generation booty bass, house, freestyle, and other styles mashed up together. With that being said, remember that there was never a station or dance station that catered to dance/uptempo hits, both on the house beat and booty bass beat side all together. HOWEVER, we are in NEW times, so who knows what could happen NOW! A dance station featuring different styles of dance and beats may be the future sound, instead of the old tradition of a bunch of songs with 95% of them being all house beats. Whatever happens, it should happen differently from how it was done in the past.
At the least, ..nevermind. Enough for now.
