Energy Arizona: Another one bites the dust?

Dance is but one of the many musical flavors I personally sample from. It is, however, my favorite.

CHR. Contemporary Hit Radio. Think about it. CHR has traditionally played a cross section of the most popular types of popular music. It is not a niche format, but a wide format

Think about it... since when has dance radio been traditional? What exactly are the rules in dance radio? There arent any (such as other formats). If one thing is not working.. try something else, and this is exactly what they are doing... and yet again, you start some BS thread about Energy biting the dust because they are playing a few more POP Dance Remixes than before. Party 931 should have learned from this. They didn't make a single change in 2 years.

Dance is a niche format. As a programmer for an Net radio station, I would hope you have the ability to understand the difference.

As a professional wannabe radio geek, such as yourself.. I would think that someone with your high knowledge would know that FM and Internet Radio are two very different ballgames. Once again, you make me laugh at your comment.

I tell ya what (since you are trying to tell me what I do and do not know).. why dont you get off your ass... start up an internet radio station.. and go head to head with my station... I'll be waiting for you at the top for a very long time because your ass wouldnt even make it to first base.

Let me try to be patience when I reply to you.

This relates to ANOTHER dance radio station that has "bit the dust"...ended...moved on. This does not imply I disgree or agree with it.

I'm beginning to wonder if anyone on this forum has the capacity to actually think before they response to what I write.

For the record, when I don't like something, I'll make it simple and say "THEY SUCK". I hope that helps.

Dear Russ. How do you know I don't have experience in Internet Radio. Unlike yourself, I'd never "announce" who I am on a public forum. Unlike yourself, this isn't about stroking my own ego on what a great and important man I am in the dance scene. The same can be said for your comment about me being a "wannabe radio geek". Are you sure of that. *LOL*

I do find it curious that an individual that preaches the word of the Lord is so cynical and envious. You're a dreadfully horrid Christian. You no longer read what I post, you post at me in anger. You are full of hate...if I said to feed the hungry children, you'd find a reason to disagree

You sit and talk about how there is NO good dance music anymore.. You make fun of DHT being sucessful... when in fact you are clueless...You keep preaching to everyone on this board BS that we already know... and you act like you are the only person in this world that knows the problems associated with this format. Instead of bitching about it.. do something about it... In this case, you havent done (BLEEP) about it... you are an armchair PD. Last I checked, KNRJ was still on the air.

Your criticism of the station's playlist is all fine and dandy, but the proclamation that it's "bitten the dust" is a tad premature, a not-so-vieled implication that the station is all but dead despite its continued operation.

Feel free to gloat ad nauseum if or when the format does fold, but kindly save it for the proper time... okay?

Sorry "Russ". The fact that you have no respect for me has absolutely zero impact in my life. Not today, not tomorrow, never.

I would recommend you find someone else to harass. I mean that quite seriously.

And that's not to mention a very good active rocker in KUPD, a great Hot AC in Mix 96.9 (and i used to think 'great' and 'hot ac' were oxymorons), two very solid rhythmic stations: Power 92.3 and rhythmic-leaning CHR Kiss 104.7. And of course, one of the country's best Smooth Jazz radio stations KYOT.

There is no question in my mind that for my tastes anyway, here in Phoenix we have the best radio dial in the United States.

I am not gonna disect it any further, as currents/classics, "too old

it's been..at least three years!! correct/right?
Well, same with Energy-AZ..they may actually morph into a
rock-friendly station, and just be lazy..and still call themselves
"Arizona's dance radio station" Just as the "new" thing -sticks-
it doesnt always properly id the station..but doesnt take away
from how they sound..and, judging by the testimonals(?sp) and
that playlist - i would say, they should be sizzlin!!

this isnt a slam against any one, just adding to the post...

how many times...did u leave the club, Turn off the club music..

Of the top 10 songs in rotation at Energy AZ, 2 are dance

Bottom Line:
station, playing the best of ibizza, and ohter well-known
to the clubhead, "techno" (dance radio hits) to the masses..
wasn't cutting it..things must get shaken up..is there
any thing wRong w/ the station, playing some chart-topping hits
from, "non-dance" genres ???
