Energy PD exits

> PERHAPS CHRIS WILL GO TO XM OR SIRIUS. ?

Chill, I have asked you previously to stop posting in all caps. In the world of the Internet, that is considered to be shouting, and extremely rude.

In the future, all posts in which you shout will be summarily deleted without further comment or explanation.

Chris Shebel actually consulted KNRJ in Phoenix while he was still at WKIE/Energy Chicago, if my facts are correct... that was back before 2003. Then the parent company of WKIE went bankrupt and Chris then resurfaced at top 40 WDCG in Raleigh/Durham, then moved on to south Florida where he had PD gigs at two stations there before helping out with the launch of KNGY.

for radioland66

If you work for energy can you give us a little insight why he (chris) left??? I guess he could have just been there to get it launched then let someone else take over?? as I said before I think Trevor Simpson could be a good choice since he has sbeen there from the beginning and when I say beginning I mean Party,Power now energy.

Also how would someone go about being on the e-crew/e-team???

Re: for radioland66

I can't discuss any specifics regarding Chris' departure due to confidentiality agreements, I hope you understand. I can tell you that a search for a new PD is currently underway.

If you're interested in working on the E-Team, you can send your resume to:

Energy 92.7FM
400 Second Street, Suite 300
San Francisco, CA 94107
Attn: E-Team Applicant

We're always looking for good people, so anyone interested can submit a
resume, just put your interest on the envelope. We are definitely looking for board ops right now. You can also email a resume and cover letter to [email protected]. There should be a section with job postings on our website soon. It would be nice if Radio-Info did someting like that too.

this station needs to change up the format a bit. i get the feeling its not as popular as Party. However, I still put Engery above Party but, their specialty shows are not as good as some of the bay's dance music shows on college radio.

No... you make a very valid point! I live in Fort Worth/Dallas (TX) and have Energy pumping through my PC to the outdoor speakers by the pool. Energy is even better than Sirius 62, 63 & 66. Joey V came from our very own (now Hurban) KDL. You are lucky to have a station in SF that fills the void. I don't know about SF (#4) but in DFW (#5) it's all about Country, Christian, Mexican & Classic Rock. What a waste of FM here!

"Mexican" is a nationality or origin. It is not a format. Mexicans like as diverse a group of formats as Americans do, in fact.

Mexico City has 61 radio stations, not one a rimshot or incomplete coverage, and every one has a different fomat or variation... there is more diversity there than in Dallas (and Mexico has been ultra consolidated since the 60's)

Just because you don't like a format does not mean it is bad.

Energy in Chicago was hardly "big." It lost money.

LOL! I had a feeling David Eduardo would pop his head up. Relax dude. My best friend is Chicano, (kidding) HISPANIC. I also forgot to mention the hip hop pollution in Fort Worth/Dallas Party 93.7, 97.9 The Beat, K10-"Fo", Kiss-Fm and for the most part Casa 106.7 ("Where Latinos Live").

No... Correction. BCR was going bankrupt because of other investments. Energy was one of the only stations that was making money for BCR!!! how I know this is because Chris said that on his last minutes of broadcast on the station ALSO I knew someone who used to work for Energy.

Both of whom are, no doubt, CPA's and reviewed the financials as part of due diligence?

It did not make money.
