"THAT'S THE PROBLEM..ENERGY IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE; AS IN RATING.
THE MUSIC IS TOO NARROW (GAY CROSSOVER POP HOUSE).
EXPAND WITH DRUM & BASS, TECHNO, TRANCE, JUNGLE, DOWNTEMPO,
ACID, BREAKS .."
I would point out to you that ratings aren't necessarily the definition of success at a radio station (though who doesn't want them, right? Right.), however, since you brought them up they look pretty good. Perhaps you don't have access to demo, daypart and zip code breakdowns.
But, as I said there are other criteria that make ours (and others) successful stations in this market. There is plenty of thought and research behind a constantly fine-tuned and considered playlist and not to point out the obvious because music is a subjective thing, but you can't please everyone, particularly within a niche format.
If you can demonstrate how the changes you personally want would serve our audience better, perhaps increase listenership (and remember it is a business!) and ad buys from small and large advertisers, then I would highly recommend you email this info to the listener comments address on the official station website. Every comment is read by station management.
Now I'm jumping off the Energy soapbox.
